How hard is it to be a parent? This rhetorical question I press into the thicket of billboards advertising gadgets you must have. This question I paint, letter by letter, alongside the headlines of popular video games, on consoles and computers, and on the cases of smartphones. Finally, I place it amidst the thicket of opinions of all those who think they know best. In today's times, when approaches to life are as varied as the menu in an Asian restaurant, the topic of raising children becomes an arena for intergenerational and intra-family dialogues. Some of these, sometimes, turn into conflicts. So how do we approach this delicate matter from a biblical perspective without losing sight of the achievements of contemporary psychology?
